Jacinta Tynan is a news presenter, columnist, author and mother to two young boys. She is regarded as a commentator for her generation with her candid and heartfelt columns about contemporary life, love and motherhood, including her popular column for Sunday Life magazine. Jacinta has published three books including compiling and editing the first edition of Some Girls Do. Her latest book, Mother Zen, described as a manifesto of modern motherhood, was inspired by a column Jacinta wrote after the birth of her first child about the joy of motherhood. It sparked a contentious debate on whether motherhood is easy or difficult and whether we have any say in that. Jacinta is also Patron of SISTER2Sister, a mentor program for disadvantaged teenage girls, and an Ambassador for Australia Day, Monkey Baa kids theatre and Barnardos Mother of The Year. She lives in Sydney.
