Jean Flynn was born in Melbourne in 1980. After completing a Bachelor of Design at RMIT University in 2000 she started working as a freelance graphic designer. In 2008 she enrolled in a Certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing at CAE. Her non-fiction work has since appeared in various newspapers, magazines and online, and she has had short stories published in several anthologies. Her first novel, Lovesick, was the inaugural winner of the XO Romance Prize. Jean currently lives in Ballarat, Victoria and teaches creative writing at Federation University.
